At each of the following events you will find opportunities to earn 150+ points in one fell swoop!
Russell Library’s 150th Birthday Bash
April 11, 2026 11am-4pm
Have your cake and earn points too! This is the kickoff to the Russell Library Games – in one day players can achieve high enough scores to take home their first prize.
Games of all sorts will be set up around the Library, including bingo, mega chess, air hockey, ping pong, puzzles, and board games. Caricature artists will draw exaggerated portraits for their subjects to take home.
Middletown Pride
June 6, 2026 10am-4pm
At the City’s annual celebration of diversity and inclusion, swing by Russell Library for all new ways to earn points! We’ll also have an outreach table on Main Street, plus staff and volunteers waving from the parade ranks!
Summer Reading Kickoff
June 20, 2026 10am-12pm
Earn 50 points right out the gate by signing up for Summer Reading, and 25 more apiece for visiting Russell Library and checking out some books.
While you’re here, check out some furry and scaly friends and participate in our chess club for 25 event points each.
And if it’s hot, there may be popsicles…
Library Card Crawl
September 19, 2026 10am-1pm
Our annual celebration of library cardholdership is the perfect opportunity to show us your library card (worth 100 points, our highest point value in the Games). Visit our vendor fair to earn points at each table, then grab some free popcorn to munch while you attend a few library events at 25 points a pop.
Taco Tuesday Awards Ceremony
November 17, 2026 6-7pm
Okay, okay – this is the closing event of the Games, so there won’t actually be points to earn. But there will be free tacos! With guacamole! And we will fete the winners of the Games with an amazing pixelated trophy and Downtown Business District gift cards.
